Palians’ Quiz Club
Aims and Objectives
The main objective of the quiz club is to encourage the students about the field of general knowledge.
The students are guided to participate in various types of inter-school Quiz competitions and to win those competitions. Students are always encouraged to find information on science and technology, geography and history, sports, literature and arts, currents affairs etc.

- Members-There are about 150 students from grade 6-13 who are interested in the field of general knowledge.
Projects for 2018
- To conduct an SInter-school Quiz competition
- To conduct a competition (written) for all the students who are in grade 6 - 12 in the school. The competitions will be held Grade vice (Grade 6 - 7, Grade 8 - 9, Grade 10 - 11, Grade 12 seperately.)
- 5 students will be selected from each Grade and groups are formed.
- To hold a Prize-giving for the winners.
- To form two teams using the students who are selected from each grade (Junior team and Senior team)
Achievements
- 2014
- The 5th place of the All Island Quiz competition, ”RIN BRIGHT STAR”, conducted by the ministry of education and the Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corparation was won by Vajira Madhushan Galigamuwa of our school.
- 2015
- The 1st place of the all island quiz competition, conducted by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution was won by Achintha Shyamal Samarasinghe, K.L.Tharaka Rukshan and P.A.Kaushalya Hansanie of our school.
