Aims and Objectives

The aim of our society is to enhance the oratory and debating skills of the students while helping them to grasp the difference between oratory and debating. Furthermore we aim to develop the personality of the students which may ultimately bring honor to the alma mater and to the country.

History

Oratory and debating society of Dharmapala Vidayalaya was founded in year 2011. “Indurawa 1” the debating day organized by the debating society inaugurated in 2012 and it unraveled in a grand scale in 2013 as “Indurawa 2” at National Youth Services Council, Maharagama.

Since the inception the students of the society won many competitions in Zonal, Divisional and Provincial levels.

Achievements

• Debating society of our school won the championship at the Debating competition which was organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills development.
• Further we won many competitions at Zonal, Divisional and Provincial levels.
