The Association of Debating to enhance the ability of speaking and debating of the students of Dharmapala Vidyalaya Pannipitiya the Association of Debating has been formed.

History

The Association of Debating (Senior) of Dharmapala Vidyalaya was informed in 2016. The objectives of the association are to promote the skills of speaking and debating abilities of the students of the school. Under the guidance of the Association of the Debating (Senior), the Association of Debating for bi-lingual students from grade 9 and 10 has also been formed in 2016. The bi-lingual students of grade 9 and 10 have been participating in the Divisional, Zonal and Provincial debating competitions since 2016.

The Association of Debating of Dharmapala Vidyalaya has planned to hold a debating carnival. The objective of this debating carnival is to hold inter classes, inter grades and inter sections debates among the palians and give them more exposure and opportunity to use English language. The Association has also planned to hold a debating competition between grade 9 and 10 bi-lingual students to select participants for the divisional, zonal and the provincial level competitions.
