Aviation Society

Aviation society of Dharmapala Vidyalaya is one of the most active societies in the school. When we go through the history of the society of the school we can see a significant progress of the society in the aviation field through these year. We have conducted lectures about aviation field.

Activities for 2018

  • Visiting the “Hangars" at Katunayaka airport.
  • Visiting the aviation college to watch the “Simulator”( Sri Lankan aviation college).
  • Field tour to Sri Lankan Airlines.
  • Project of making remote control aircraft models with related to the workshop planned.
  • Weekly Aviation tuition classes on Thursdays 1:30 p.m. - 2.00 p.m.
    • Holiday course for Advanced Level students
    • Term test for Aviation tuition class participants
  • T shirts, bands, magazines - related to the career guidance seminar.

Achievements

  • Quiz competition organized by District Aviation Council (DAC) being able to come to the top 10 from 36 schools from Colombo, Gampaha, Galle and Kandy districts.
